Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at PSN Affiliates. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of patient care in our preoperative and post-anesthesia care units.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient registration and pre-admission testing for outpatient surgery and same-day surgery procedures
  • Manage patient admission processes to the preoperative department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Assess patient health status and ensure accurate identification wristbands
  • Verify operative and informed consents, and determine surgeon and procedure details
  • Take and record vital statistics, initiate IVs, and ensure patient preparedness for surgical procedures
  • Exhibit HCA Standards of Excellence and maintain confidentiality
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of two years' experience in surgery or completion of specialty class for clinical nurse or PACU RN
  • Current Texas Nursing License
  • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
  • ACLS and PAL required
  • Current CPR required
