We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UT Health Science Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in a surgical setting, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and coordinate patient care with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies, making medical recommendations and referrals as needed
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and other clinicians to promote patient education and recovery
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN - NP
  • Current RN First Assist Certification and specialty certification as required by department
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or specialty certification as required by department
  • Masters in Nursing as NP or Masters degree in Nursing with completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program
