Occupational Therapist Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Encompass Health of Nittany Valley. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

This per diem position is available for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who wants to make a difference in the lives of patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to patients with various needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines.
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure that patient, staff, and hospital needs are met.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and supervise occupational therapist assistants and technicians.

Requirements:

  • Current state licensure or certification on or before the first day of employment required.
  • CPR certification preferred, unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
  • Successful completion of a degree from an accredited therapy program or one that is determined to be substantially equivalent to a U.S.-accredited program by an appropriate certifying agency preferred.
