The Client Relationship Specialist I will cultivate and foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring timely responses to their inquiries and resolving their issues to achieve maximum satisfaction.
Inform and recommend new banking solutions to clients. Provide clients with information regarding their accounts, including balances, account statuses, and transaction histories.Ensure that all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards are strictly adhered to while performing duties.
Safeguard clients' confidential information, ensuring it is used solely for official purposes.Enhance clients' banking experiences by ensuring prompt attention to their needs and resolving any banking challenges without delay.
Conduct effective sales presentations for checking accounts that lead to suitable account recommendations and solicit the client's business.Introduce clients to the Tell-A-Friend program and enthusiastically distribute Tell-A-Friend coupons with a detailed explanation during each client interaction.
Assist clients in understanding their in-person and digital banking options, enabling them to choose the channel that best aligns with their preferences for conducting business with the bank.
Promote the use of technology among retail and business clients by proactively utilizing the customer convenience channels offered by First Community Bancshares; personally engaging with these services allows employees to advocate more effectively for clients.
Open new accounts and service existing accounts in accordance with operational procedures, ensuring that all required documentation is collected and properly archived at the time of account opening.
Ensure that deposit exceptions are minimal and promptly addressed after identification, with the goal of preventing any account from being at risk of closure due to documentation issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One to five years of experience in banking
Effective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen attentively, comprehend, and propose solutions based on the discussion
Patience and a willingness to assist others in problem-solving while maintaining a positive demeanor
Proven track record of exceptional customer service
Demonstrated proficiency in banking platforms and common office software
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Excellent negotiation skills and the capacity to influence others
Strong attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and to stand for extended periods
Ability to sit in front of a computer for prolonged periods
