About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Hazardous Materials Technician II to join their team in Elk Grove, CA. As a key member of the safety-conscious team, this individual will be responsible for collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing hazardous waste for shipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by adhering to safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications.
  • Conduct inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
  • Inspect storage areas for leaks or spills and drums for compliance with labeling regulations.
  • Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Sample and profile new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing.
  • Physically demanding position; must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Hazardous waste experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
