Job Summary:
The Barista at MCR Hotels will be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience by preparing and serving specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages. This role requires excellent service skills, knowledge of brewing equipment, and the ability to educate guests on our drink menu.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages to guests, ensuring accurate customization of orders.
- Product Knowledge: Describe product details to guests and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Payment Processing: Receive and process payments accurately.
- Inventory Management: Ensure service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment by routinely checking temperatures and reporting any issues to management.
- Supply Management: Stock supplies or retail products as directed.
- Inventory Control: Inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods of time and push/pull/lift 40+ pounds.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Food Safety: Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Memory and Multitasking: Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent guests.
- Customer Service: Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
- Schedule Flexibility: A flexible schedule that allows availability early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as the hotel demands.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and a proactive attitude.
- Organization Skills: Organization skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
