Position Overview:

Our client is in search of a Quality Assurance Engineer.

This role is crucial for ensuring that manufacturing processes and suppliers uphold a quality standard that meets or surpasses customer expectations.

The quality engineer will deliver targeted quality engineering support, creating, implementing, and sustaining quality systems that ensure products comply with customer and food safety standards, while also spearheading root cause analysis to mitigate complaints.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify issues, conduct investigations, and perform root cause analysis of complaints, developing corrective actions and leading teams as necessary.

- Oversee complaint-related corrective action initiatives and communicate enhancements to customers as needed.


- Statistically analyze test data, draw appropriate conclusions, and leverage that knowledge to drive quality improvements at manufacturing sites and with suppliers.

- Enhance quality systems through timely internal audits and the implementation of improvements.

- Collaborate and communicate with Quality Departments across multiple facilities to enhance quality.

- Ensure compliance with GFSI standards, prerequisite programs, and GMP practices to meet food safety requirements, reporting potential food safety issues to appropriate authorities.

- Assist with Supplier Quality Management as needed: ensuring specifications are clear, qualifying new products/suppliers, and monitoring ongoing performance.

Ultimately, you will play a vital role in identifying quality issues and taking prompt and effective action when non-conformances are detected, driving corrective actions to resolve them.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in related fields.

- Lean Six Sigma training or certification is preferred.

- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, focusing on quality analysis, improvement, and support.

- Proficient in standard quality tools such as Corrective Action, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, etc.

- Strong problem-solving abilities.

- Solid statistical knowledge is required, preferably with experience in Minitab.

- Familiarity with BRCGS or other GFSI food safety standards.


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all organizational levels.

- Self-motivated with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Proficient in MS Office.

- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
