Job Summary:
This role provides direct clinical patient care in the Acute Medical Unit at Shelby Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. The role will also supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and support the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Education and Certifications:
- Required: Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
- Required: Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice or policy. CPR certification
