Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our 2nd shift operations. This full-time, temp-to-hire position is with a leading company in the nut manufacturing industry, known for its commitment to quality and safety.

About the Company: This organization is a prominent player in the production of various nuts, including almonds, pecans, and cashews. They pride themselves on delivering safe and high-quality products while fostering a culture of inclusivity and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage work order demands by staging products for production and returning unused items to inventory.
  • Unload trucks and containers of raw or finished goods.
  • Transfer processed products into storage locations for finished goods or coolers.
  • Rotate inventory according to first in-first out or first expired-first out protocols.
  • Adhere to all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including allergen segregation and organic product handling.
  • Report any food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM (Overtime and Saturday work as needed)
Compensation:
  • Starting pay is $19 per hour, with an additional $1 shift differential, totaling $20.00/hour.
Qualifications:
  • Experience operating stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts.
  • Familiarity with electric pallet jacks is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility and availability for various shifts.
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is preferred.
  • Basic math skills are required.
