Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will be responsible for operating lift trucks safely and efficiently in the Distribution Center. This role will process order fulfillment, receiving, and restocking in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain lift trucks, documenting daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, and reporting repair needs immediately.
  • Report unsafe Distribution Center conditions needing correction.
  • Load and unload district vehicles and receive freight truck deliveries.
  • Pick orders from Distribution Center stock with accuracy.
  • Process inbound and outbound freight.
  • Process intra-district and outbound USPS mail.
  • Operate various forklifts, including sit-down, narrow aisle, and walk-behind.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must successfully obtain Forklift Operation Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred.
Work Environment

This is a twelve-month position with varying days and hours depending on departmental needs. Salary and benefits are established by the Board of Education. Flexible hours/OT may be necessary. A valid Illinois Driver's License is required.
