Mark Young Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Concrete/Demolition Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Bidding
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete and demolition projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify potential cost factors.
- Project Management
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
- Develop comprehensive project scopes and schedules.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analyze and evaluate bid proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Administrative Tasks
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and related documentation.
- Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost records.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on concrete and demolition projects.
- Skills and Abilities
- Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- Knowledge of concrete and demolition methods, materials, and industry standards is essential.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
