Job Overview

Mark Young Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Concrete/Demolition Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Bidding
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete and demolition projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
    • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify potential cost factors.
  • Project Management
    • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
    • Develop comprehensive project scopes and schedules.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Analyze and evaluate bid proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
    • Collaborate with other team members to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and related documentation.
    • Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost records.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on concrete and demolition projects.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
    • Knowledge of concrete and demolition methods, materials, and industry standards is essential.
    • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
