Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory assessment and therapy to patients with pulmonary disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough respiratory assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer respiratory therapy as prescribed by physicians, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment to ensure optimal function.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of New York.
  • 2+ years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
