The role of the Product Compliance Analyst is crucial in ensuring that our Personal Lines and Commercial Lines policy documents are precise, compliant, and effectively supporting our objective to provide competitive coverage products to our members. This position collaborates closely with Actuarial, Underwriting, Marketing, Commercial, and Claims departments to create forms, product manuals, product comparisons, and communications.

A successful candidate will demonstrate engagement, exceptional time management skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple mid to large-scale projects to completion while adhering to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance the company's insurance products, including forms, manuals, and member policy packages, to maintain competitiveness in the market.
  • Draft and prepare filings and responses to secure approval for form and rule submissions with the Department of Insurance (DOI) and Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR).
  • Conduct competitive research on primary competitors to identify areas for improvement.
  • Interpret insurance forms, statutes, and regulations, providing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Regularly analyze existing forms and manuals for effectiveness.
  • Research and evaluate external information sources to deliver updated and accurate competitive analysis, including rates and coverage information.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on market trends to inform product strategy.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing to ensure accuracy of enhancements and modifications to forms, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Independently manage projects and assignments, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to established department processes, quality control procedures, and checklists in all responsibilities.
  • Simultaneously manage medium to large projects to completion while meeting deadlines.
  • Perform program audits as required.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following:

  • Experience with I-File and SERFF.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret insurance forms, statutes, and regulations, conducting analysis and developing recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  • Capability to read and interpret statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in various computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook.
Education and Experience:

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Property Casualty or Commercial Lines sector, or a combination of education and experience. Insurance designations are advantageous.
