Position Overview

We are in search of a proficient Finance Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of our finance department. This role is pivotal in managing the month-end closing activities, facilitating financial audits, calculating performance-based incentives, and reviewing the order-to-cash processes. The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous approach, strong analytical capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Closing Coordination:
    • Lead and coordinate the month-end closing activities to guarantee precise and timely financial reporting.
    • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
    • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
    • Develop and implement policies to enhance the efficiency of the closing process.
  • Audit Support:
    • Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors during financial audits.
    • Prepare and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
    • Address audit inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Incentive Calculation:
    • Oversee the calculation of performance-based incentives for the sales team based on established metrics.
    • Prepare and distribute incentive statements to team members.
  • Order-to-Cash Review:
    • Review sales opportunities for accuracy against agreements, identifying non-standard terms.
    • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to ensure the accuracy of information.

Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in finance roles, with a blend of public and private sector experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and its application in various regulatory environments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing teams across diverse locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in process improvement and best practices implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; familiarity with NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
