We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at the Ohio State School for the Blind. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in educating students who are blind and visually impaired, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a well-managed and creative classroom environment, based on research-based principles and student data. You will work closely with students, families, and staff to develop individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students who are blind and visually impaired
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students in a classroom setting
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
