About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Development Engineer to join our team at Legence, a leading provider of energy transition solutions. As a key member of our Energy Solutions division, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement performance contracting strategies to meet client needs
  • Lead the development phase of projects, including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
  • Direct the engineering design team to produce high-quality drawings and specifications
  • Manage the bidding process and develop final contracts with clients
  • Collaborate with construction managers to ensure smooth project execution
  • Direct the commissioning process and ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the energy services industry or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with DOE and Army Corps of Engineers IDIQ contract requirements
  • Knowledge of building energy systems, including HVAC, building automation systems, and lighting
  • Experience with building simulation and bin spreadsheet modeling
