Job Overview

Compensation: $20/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour for 2nd and 3rd shift work.

Position Type: Full-Time with Direct Hire Benefits. This role is not temporary.

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm
  • 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7:30am (8 Hour) or 7pm - 7am (12 Hour)

Overtime: Mandatory on weekends.

Additional Compensation: A signing bonus of $750 is available after meeting 90 and 180-day criteria. New hires may also have opportunities for pay increases after 6 and 12 months of employment.

Position Summary

U.S. Engine Valve is seeking dedicated Machine Operators, also known as Product Technicians, to engage in our machining processes. The role involves operating automated machinery and ensuring the quality of parts produced, along with managing tool and material changes at specified intervals.

These positions require active involvement beyond simple operation; training spans a minimum of 6 weeks, with additional training provided as necessary. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with required overtime on weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery for precision operations, including shearing, friction welding, heat treating, grinding, turning, and drilling.
  • Operate production equipment safely and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Perform equipment setups and light maintenance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Maintain appropriate oil and coolant levels in machinery as required.
  • Adjust machinery, tooling, and wheels to ensure products meet specified tolerances.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, including first piece approvals and scrap tickets.
  • Utilize specified gauges to verify product tolerances.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or machining.
  • Knowledge of operating automated machinery and performing setups and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Experience in maintaining proper oil and coolant levels in machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail in completing production documentation.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with mandatory weekend overtime.
