Job Title: Lead Production

At Cadrex, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Production professional to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, supervising production staff, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct and assist production staff in process setup and operations, quality standards, and process documentation.
  • Assign production staff to work stations to ensure daily production goals are met.
  • Ensure production staff understand and follow job book instructions.
  • Assist production staff with and train them in the proper techniques of product inspection.
  • Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure issues are understood, priorities are on track, and tasks are delegated.
  • Conduct huddle meetings with oncoming shifts to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Ensure proper approvals are in place to start a job and make periodic quality checks of product to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Work from schedules and instructions to analyze production process problems and determine solutions.
  • Monitor processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and assure quality.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Report and prevent equipment and process malfunctions, material discrepancies, documentation errors, and facilitate corrective/preventive actions as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Prior plastic injection molding experience preferred.
  • Prior assembly, machine operator, or set-up experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide work direction and guidance to other workers and act as supervisor in absence of Production Supervisor.
  • Ability to answer questions and train new and current employees.
  • Ability to produce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to produce the required quantity of product according to required output specifications.
  • Ability to understand the assembly/production process and the movement of completed components.
  • Ability to use computers as required.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Ability to operate all hand tools, machines, and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as a productive team member who contributes to the organization's success.
  • Ability to handle fast-paced work.
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnel.
  • Ability to demonstrate dependability with good attendance.
Education:

High School Diploma or GED.

Location:

Onsite.

Schedule:

2pm-10:30pm (M-F).

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
