Position Overview

Novant Health is in search of a skilled Bariatric Advanced Practice Provider to take on a pivotal role within our extensive Bariatric program, which includes a team of 3 physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across multiple locations. This position focuses on both surgical and non-surgical management of Bariatric patients. As a Lead APP, you will collaborate closely with our physicians in patient care. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to operate independently, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and exhibit adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Our approach to patient care is comprehensive, offering nutritional, psychological, and exercise education to support patients throughout their weight loss journey. We seek a compassionate and dedicated provider who values teamwork, patient education, and community health. Our program emphasizes the well-being of both patients and team members, fostering an environment that encourages personal and professional development. We are eager to welcome a provider who is innovative and enthusiastic about enhancing patient care and expanding our program. Prior experience in Bariatrics and surgical assistance is preferred, and RNFA certification is required for Nurse Practitioners or the ability to obtain it within the specified timeframe.

Our dedicated team of surgeons, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants work in unison to deliver exceptional care to both operative and non-operative patients. The selected APP will undertake various responsibilities under the guidance of our surgeons, including patient consultations in the clinic, performing office procedures, assisting in surgeries, and providing care in acute facilities.
