Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Specialist to provide expert-level support to our Navy customer in the areas of systems and technical engineering services. Our team will leverage your expertise through a disciplined and rigorous Systems Engineering process across all mission areas of the system under development and sustainment.

As a key member of our team, you will help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve complex computer problems and apply computer technology to meet the individual needs of an organization.
  • Define the goals of the system and divide the solutions into individual steps and separate procedures, utilizing structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and cost accounting techniques.
  • Specify the inputs to be accessed by the system, design the processing steps, and format the output to meet users' needs.
  • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to help management decide whether implementing the proposed technology will be financially feasible.
  • Determine the necessary computer hardware and software to set up the system, coordinate tests, and observe the initial use of the system to ensure it performs as planned.
  • Prepare specifications, flow charts, and process diagrams for computer programmers to follow.
  • Collaborate with programmers to debug the system.
  • Possess proficiency in both programming and systems analysis, with expertise in working with databases, object-oriented programming languages, client-server applications development, virtualization of capability, and multimedia and Internet technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and at least ten (10) or more years of professional experience in computer systems analysis, preferably in Navy training systems.

OR

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field and at least twelve (12) or more years of professional experience in computer systems analysis, preferably in Navy training systems.
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
