Job Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist at Allina Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical intervention. Your expertise in identifying, assembling, and facilitating the use of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies will be essential in assisting the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in providing care to patients undergoing surgical intervention.
  • Identify, assemble, and facilitate the use of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and other staff.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements for point of use care of instruments.
  • Handle medications and specimens following policies/procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile field.
  • Anticipate needs for instruments, equipment, and other supplies.
  • Account for all instruments and items on the field.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 1 year of hire.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training.
