Job Summary:
The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree and previous experience in computational and wet-lab research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects and work collaboratively with others to achieve research goals
- Conduct and troubleshoot experiments, and assist in manuscript and grant writing
- Collaborate on grant proposals and journal publications
- Participate in the department's educational programs as assigned
- Mentor and teach junior lab members
Requirements:
