IT Support Specialist

At Golden Acorn Casino & Travel Center, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting our computer systems, network capabilities, and related problems to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support and maintain C-store systems, including POS and closed loop debit card systems
- Administer and maintain the Casino Management System (CMS)
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
- Provide resolution to end-users' questions and problems
- Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems
- Support and maintain Windows and CMS user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups
- Install and resolve technical issues with Microsoft operating systems (OS) and Office Suites
- Manage user accounts, including adding and removing users from the domain
- Configure PCs, workstations, and printers
- Install and configure networked and local printers, including CMS embossers and printers
- Install and configure switches and hubs
- Perform IP configuration changes on desktops and servers
- Communicate all systems problems to the IT manager
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- One to two years of technical training or degree
- RS6000 experience
- Knowledge of Windows OS and Office Suite
- Basic understanding of networking
You should also possess:
- Self-motivation and a fast learning ability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time management skills
Desirable qualifications include:
- A+/MCP certifications
- One to two years of hands-on help desk/PC support experience
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
- VMWare and Progress experience
- Knowledge of Cisco router, switches, firewalls, and other data communications equipment
- Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) systems
The work environment is usually moderate, but when on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. You must be able to obtain an A+ certification within the first 90 days of employment.
