The Defense Systems Group (DSG) offers analysis-driven decision support to senior officials on space architectures, policy, strategy, developmental planning, system engineering, and threat mitigation, shaping future space missions across the national security space landscape. Work Model

This position requires on-site presence. Remote work options are not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the potential impact of global space and counterspace activities on U.S. national security space operations
  • Utilize intelligence resources to conduct engineering analyses aimed at identifying and mitigating space-based threats
  • Perform detailed technical evaluations of existing and future space systems
  • Develop algorithms for data integration and employ analytics for advanced processing techniques
  • Identify emerging concerns in Space Domain Awareness and proactively recommend global data collection strategies
  • Recognize both short- and long-term technical challenges for a diverse clientele, including the USAF/USSF and the Intelligence Community
  • Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and other deliverables
  • Review and critique reports and materials produced by team members
  • Foster and maintain customer relationships
  • Occasional travel may be required for presentations and meetings with personnel and government agencies.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Mathematics
  • Two or more years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with space systems engineering and operations
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong interest in global space activities
  • Ability to analyze technical data and communicate findings effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to learn new tools and techniques as required
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required, U.S. citizenship is necessary for clearance
  • Willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

It would be advantageous if you possess:

  • Advanced degree in relevant fields
  • Experience in space systems engineering or related areas
  • Understanding of EO and RF sensor systems
  • Knowledge of astrodynamics and experience with analysis tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
  • Experience in information fusion and analysis
  • Familiarity with DoD and IC agencies
  • Language skills in foreign languages
