Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Utility Operator to support our operations. This role is critical in assisting senior operators with the management of kilns, ensuring optimal safety, quality, and productivity within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
As a Utility Operator, your duties will include:

  • Cleaning up spills and reclaiming uncontaminated materials as directed.
  • Operating necessary mobile equipment and performing routine checks on oil, water, battery, and fuel levels.
  • Monitoring calcining operations and reporting any irregularities to senior operators.
  • Conducting minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, while assisting maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Maintaining emergency equipment for potential use during adverse conditions.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Reporting all injuries to the supervisor immediately.
  • Contributing to the development of safety procedures for material handling tasks.
  • Following ISO procedures to fulfill job specifications.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding daily operations.
  • Assisting with various production tasks as required.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma.
  • Relevant operational experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements
This role may involve:

  • Working in a plant environment with varying conditions.
  • Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Working in confined spaces and elevated areas.
  • Handling petroleum coke products and working with appropriate safety measures.
  • Operating heavy machinery and performing manual labor as necessary.
  • Participating in safety and hazmat training.
