About the Palliative Medicine Opportunity at CommonSpirit Health
Palliative Medicine Division Director RoleWe are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Chief of Palliative Medicine and lead the expansion of our clinical, research, and educational activities within the Division of Palliative Medicine.
- As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for program growth, managing budgets, and building partnerships with nursing, medical and other healthcare departments.
- The successful candidate will have a strong track record of scholarly and educational accomplishments, fellowship training in Palliative Medicine, and experience working in an academic and teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Leadership: Oversee the growth of the division's established programs, expand and manage the Division of Palliative Care, lead the development of research and scholarly initiatives, recruit new faculty, collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Tertiary Skills:
- Developing Clinical Protocols and Guidelines, Participating in Quality Assurance and Improvement Initiatives, Collaborating with Specialists for Further Diagnostic Evaluation.
Requirements:
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
- A Valid and Unrestricted State Medical License or License-Eligible
Compensation and Benefits:
$125.63 / hour, Highly Competitive Salary Guarantee, Paid Relocation Expenses, Comprehensive Benefits Package.
