About the Job

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Hamtramck, Michigan. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), utilizing your advanced knowledge and clinical expertise to provide primary and specialized healthcare services.

Job Summary

This role involves assessing health status through comprehensive histories, physical exams, and data analysis to develop prioritized care plans. You will be responsible for implementing interventions, educating patients and families, and evaluating patient progress towards expected outcomes. Additionally, you will act as a consultant, educator, and advocate, promoting quality care and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess health status through comprehensive histories, physical exams, and data analysis.
  2. Develop prioritized care plans, including nursing interventions and education.
  3. Implement interventions, educate patients and families, and evaluate patient progress.
  4. Act as a consultant, educator, and advocate for quality care and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Registered nurse licensure to practice in Michigan.
  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • Two years of clinical experience as a professional nurse.
  • National certification in advanced practice nursing specialty.
