Job Summary

The City of Hutto is seeking a dedicated and community-minded individual to serve as a member of the Library Advisory Board. As a key member of this board, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the City Library and contributing to the growth and development of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to the City Council on planning, development, and operation of the City Library.
  • Assist in preparing grants for the Library and help secure funding for its programs and services.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings to discuss library-related matters and make informed decisions.
  • Represent the City Library and its interests in the community.
Requirements
  • Reside within the Hutto Independent School District boundaries.
  • Be a registered voter in the City of Hutto.
  • Have a strong understanding of the City Library's mission and goals.
  • Be able to commit to regular attendance at board meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in library administration or a related field.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and fundraising techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
