About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at Office Depot. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of store appearance and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • Provide proactive and personalized support to customers, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
    • Utilize sales programs and product knowledge to promote sales and drive revenue growth.
    • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, adhering to company guidelines.
    • Ensure accurate inventory management, including scanning, investigating, and filling inventory lows and outs.
    • Support freight processes, including sorting and stocking, and maintain a neat and organized freight area.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • Develop and maintain personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided.
    • Continuously educate yourself on print and technology products and services, including designated certifications.
  • Sales Techniques:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices, and support loss prevention efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for information and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, count, and write accurately, with a focus on documentation and inventory management.
