We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supply Chain Planner to join our corporate office in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing critical production components in support of production schedules and embracing a continuous improvement mindset to help implement process improvement and reduce costs.
A typical day for a Senior Supply Chain Planner may include:
- Managing critical production components that have a significant impact on the company's operations.
- Procuring goods and services, including MRO, raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
- Analyzing forecasts, actual demand, inventory, and making recommendations to manufacturing.
- Working closely with production on implementing production schedules.
- Evaluating vendors to determine their capability for performing to established specifications and maintaining scorecards.
- Developing, executing, and overseeing SOP procedures for the procurement department and training.
- Reviewing bid proposals and negotiating contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Maintaining item costs, lead times, and purchase from vendors in our ERP system (Sage / MAS 500).
To be successful as an FNA Senior Supply Chain Planner, you will need to bring the following skills and qualifications:
- A high sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, data consolidation, and reporting).
- A solid understanding of ERP / MRP systems.
- Strong negotiation skills, experience in sourcing products, and working with vendors to drive cost savings.
- The ability to clearly communicate departmental goals and objectives with ownership and upper-level management.
- A desire to grow within the company and look for ways to improve processes and drive constant improvement.
- A college degree is strongly preferred, but 5-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing / supply chain / inventory management is also appealing.
