Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer to lead our performance testing efforts and ensure the optimal performance and scalability of our systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests using tools like LoadRunner and AppDynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for performance engineering and ensure alignment with client expectations and business objectives.
  • Define and oversee the creation of performance testing strategies, benchmarks, and SLAs.
  • Direct the execution of performance tests (load, stress, soak, failover) using LoadRunner and ensure comprehensive coverage of system components.
  • Use AppDynamics, Kibana, and other monitoring tools to oversee real-time tracking of system health and key performance metrics.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommendations for system performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and architecture teams to optimize performance across backend microservices and ensure scalability.
  • Design and lead the implementation of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies to ensure system reliability and resilience during high-traffic or failure scenarios.
  • Lead the integration of performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and automated workflows.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive performance test reports to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in performance engineering, with a focus on backend systems and microservices architecture.
  • Proven experience leading teams in performance testing projects using LoadRunner and AppDynamics.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architectures and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Extensive experience handling large-scale systems and simulating high traffic.
  • Strong expertise with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Kibana, or Dynatrace.
  • Experience providing strategic recommendations for system optimization.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) for performance testing in cloud environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or other languages to automate performance tests.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
