Organizational Context and Job Purpose

The Electrical Reliability Team Leader at INEOS Battleground Manufacturing Complex is tasked with overseeing the secure operation, upkeep, and enhancement of the Electrical Distribution System (EDS). This position holds accountability for the 138kV, 69kV, 12470V, and Cogen Distribution Systems. The leader will provide expert guidance in the management and operation of the electrical distribution system while offering specialized knowledge in electrical maintenance methodologies.

Role Overview:

This role is crucial for ensuring that all Electrical Maintenance operations are conducted safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards of repair quality and practices to uphold equipment integrity and reliability. The Electrical Reliability Team Leader will also offer technical expertise and troubleshooting support to the electrical maintenance team regarding medium and low voltage motor controls, solid-state relays, UPS systems, and more.

This position reports directly to the Instrument/Electrical/Analyzer Reliability Superintendent and oversees a team comprising an Electrical Reliability Engineer, Electrical Reliability Specialists, and Electrical Distribution System Testing Specialists, along with contract resources as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety and compliance in all maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to SHE standards.
  • Oversee the efficient execution of daily operations within the Electrical Reliability Department, ensuring effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate the development and training of team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge in EDS operations.
  • Provide on-the-job training to EDS Technicians and collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Manage the Electrical System Model and conduct necessary studies such as Arc Flash and Load Flow.
  • Ensure the electrical distribution system is consistently maintained and operational.
  • Deliver technical support for equipment specifications, diagnostics, and failure analysis.
  • Participate in internal audits and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in electrical maintenance or reliability engineering.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various disciplines.
  • Proficiency in PowerDB and familiarity with SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to mentoring and developing team members.
