Position Overview
This role is dedicated to enhancing operational processes, spearheading project initiatives, and supporting the production team in achieving safety, environmental, quality, and efficiency objectives.
Ensures the facility operates in an environmentally responsible manner, adhering to all Safety, Health, and Environmental Policies.
This position is situated within the Base Plant Operations department and reports directly to the Process Engineer Lead. The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $115,000, accompanied by a competitive benefits package designed to support you and your family.
We offer a variety of benefit options, allowing you to tailor a program that suits your personal or family needs. Enrollment in benefits occurs upon joining the company, with opportunities to review and modify your selections annually during the enrollment period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist plant personnel in process enhancement initiatives to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production targets.
- Utilize innovative problem-solving techniques to improve safety, quality, cost, and production metrics.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data to draw informed conclusions.
- Make data-driven decisions and demonstrate the ability to make sound assumptions in the face of uncertainties.
- Exercise technical judgment in resolving issues and seek guidance from supervisors when necessary.
- Minimize process variability through control loop optimization and other improvement strategies.
- Conduct sizing for PRV, control valves, pumps, and other equipment as required.
- Perform field audits of processes and equipment.
- Engage in technical studies or experiments to identify necessary improvements for plant objectives.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, management, and clients.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to analyze and enhance equipment availability and energy efficiency.
- Oversee team members as needed to achieve project goals.
- Initiate projects, implement management of change protocols, and oversee project execution.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis as required.
- Manage all projects with a commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
- Provide guidance and support to plant support and R&D teams as necessary.
- Stay informed on advancements in quality control and process engineering through engagement with educational institutions and professional organizations.
- Promote a culture of safety and responsibility in all activities.
Qualifications:
A degree in Chemical Engineering is required for the Process Engineer position, with salary commensurate with relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding of plant operations, equipment, and processes is preferred. Strong presentation skills, effective verbal and written communication abilities, and good interpersonal skills are essential.
