Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Job Summary

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the installation of new equipment and special fabrication projects.
  • Follows preventative maintenance schedules and performs machine repair and installation.
  • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces equipment parts with minimal direction.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
  • Responsible for using assigned personal protective equipment and required safety equipment.
  • Attends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on the Safety Committee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in operating a forklift and experience in welding, electrical, and mechanicals.
  • Vocational school training is preferred, as well as 2 years' experience with similar equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance and equipment operations.
  • Welding proficiency in MIG and Stick as well as vertical and overhead.
  • Proficiency in control power electric and general mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.


Work Environment:

Job functions will be carried out in a processing facility, requiring tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors and high heat or cold temperatures.
