Critical Care Nurse

Job Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive and critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), monitoring vital signs and managing life-sustaining treatments.
* Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians, ensuring precise dosing and patient safety.
* Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors.
* Assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when necessary.
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary ICU team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Perform routine and emergency procedures, such as intubations, central line placements, and cardiac monitoring.
* Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, explaining complex medical information and updates on the patient's condition.
* Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring all patient interactions, medications, and procedures are properly recorded.
* Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and ICU policies to maintain a safe and sterile patient environment.
* Participate in code situations and other medical emergencies, providing critical support to the care team.
Job Requirements:
* Current RN state license in good standing.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
* Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, equipment, and pharmacology.
* Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
