We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer I to join our team at the Virginia Community College System. As a Security Officer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Monitor and patrol campus areas to prevent and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular security checks and inspections to identify potential security risks.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to students, faculty, and staff.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience in security or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
