The Community Life Associate plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by supporting the Community Life Coordinator in delivering engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs of the community. This position involves collaboration with the Community Life Director to ensure a vibrant and fulfilling environment for all residents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in organizing and facilitating resident activities as directed by the Community Life Director.
- Accompany residents on outings to various cultural and recreational venues.
- Manage the resident sign-up and billing processes efficiently.
- Create and distribute communications for residents, including newsletters, flyers, and event invitations.
- Lead specific resident programs such as arts and crafts or trivia sessions.
- Support the Community Life Director in planning and executing marketing events, including securing speakers and entertainment within budget.
- Maintain an organized reservation system for special events and excursions.
- Prepare financial requests for entertainment and supplies for approval.
- Honor residents by creating bereavement plaques.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs regularly.
- Engage with resident committees as assigned, providing necessary support.
- Coordinate community-wide events held at the facility.
- Decorate communal spaces for seasonal and special occasions.
- Procure supplies and maintain inventory as needed.
- Set up activity areas in collaboration with other departments.
- Participate in all relevant meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Develop and distribute a monthly newsletter.
- Document events through photography.
- Provide concierge support during lunch hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English with proper grammar.
- At least one year of experience in resident activities or a related field, with strong computer skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the rights of residents and staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and capability to assist with transportation for medical appointments.
