Job Title: District Manager/Area Coach

At Palo Alto Alvarado Concepts, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Manager/Area Coach to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to Restaurant Leaders across 5 to 8 restaurants in an area, aiming to achieve top quartile operating metrics and exceed annual operating plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee area of 5-8 restaurants to ensure high guest service and margin targets are met.
  • Conduct orientation to set up new managers for success and build a deep bench of talented restaurant leaders.
  • Impart skills every day to grow sustainable performance and develop a coaching and learning culture within the area.
  • Plan restaurant visits with a purpose to build people capability and result in positive traction for the team and restaurant.
  • Provide regular feedback to the RGM through period 1 on 1s and consistently address performance issues in a timely manner with both HR and the Market Leader.
  • Model Mission & Core Values, especially when in restaurants, and understand how guests are viewing area restaurants through scheduled visits and detailed analysis of Brand Standards (CORE) and guest satisfaction (OSAT).
  • Master all operating standards and systems to provide coaching excellence to RGMs and ensure that each restaurant consistently delivers delight to every guest.
  • Work with RGMs to identify and develop strategies and action plans to address opportunities and lead product and program rollouts with RGMs to ensure success.
  • Participate in period rallies, training classes, and other company events and understand restaurant trade areas and competitors with the goal of being Best On Block.
  • Timely address guest complaints and PRCs within 48 hours by resolving with delight and lead by example with a positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers, subordinates, and guests.
  • Successfully execute the company morning success routines to ensure RGM continuous improvement and engagement around financial & operational excellence.
  • Analyze the financial performance of each restaurant and understand trends (daily, weekly, period, quarter, and YTD) and conduct Period Business Reviews, discussing operational metrics, bench planning, and P&Ls in order to drive sales and maximize profitability.
  • Conduct quarterly Role Scorecard reviews with RGMs in order to drive company strategic pillars and provide ongoing constructive and complimentary feedback to the RGM, AGM, Shifts, and Team Members.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years multi-unit leadership in QSR industry. Preference to Taco Bell experience.
  • Obtain and maintain ServeSafe Certification within 45 days of employment.
  • Must be an excellent teacher and coach with an ability to develop teams.
  • Detail-oriented & routine based.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-driven.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to develop an effective schedule based upon the needs of the business.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
