The Production and Supply division is actively looking for a Production Technician 2 to be part of our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and systems in alignment with site-specific tasks.
- Utilize forklifts and operate pallet wrapping equipment, supporting processes such as conditioning, packaging, and treatment.
- Assist in managing agricultural activities including planting, field assessments, harvesting, and data collection.
- Participate in field operations such as rouging and detasseling.
- Support process order tracking and maintain administrative records, utilizing data systems (SAP, SMMS, WMS).
- Keep metrics and information updated on visual boards and data dashboards to foster teamwork and informed decision-making.
- Notify senior technicians and management of any product or process discrepancies.
- Demonstrate adherence to the company's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and local legal requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for performance enhancement in line with production objectives.
- Maintain adherence to site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and Syngenta’s HSE policies.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Able to lift and move items weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Accurate documentation of production records.
- Ability to effectively work in different areas of the facility, such as warehousing, packaging, and treatment.
Key Challenges:
- Understanding safety protocols and maintaining a secure work environment.
- Basic knowledge of relevant production software (SCADA).
- Familiarity with routine maintenance practices.
- Accurate record-keeping of production documents.
