We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Women's Specialty Unit & Antepartum team at Texas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women and newborns, working collaboratively with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess and manage the care of high-risk obstetrical patients, antepartum patients, and post-partum patients, including those with complex medical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and family-centered care principles.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and provide education and support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Stay current with advances in maternal and fetal care, incorporating new knowledge and skills into practice.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement.
- Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification.
- One (1) year of professional nursing experience, preferably in a maternal and fetal care setting.
- Knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, ACLS, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills, including effective communication and teamwork.
- Previous experience in Labor & Delivery, OB Assessment & Triage, or OB ICU.
- Knowledge of fetal intervention, fetal demise, and other high-risk obstetrical conditions.
