ATCS PLC is on the lookout for skilled Transportation Construction Inspectors to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on transportation construction projects including highways, bridges, environmental works, traffic systems, and facilities.
  • Prepare comprehensive daily progress reports detailing the status of ongoing projects.
  • Supervise contractor teams to ensure adherence to contract specifications and maintain safe construction practices.
  • Perform field testing on construction materials such as concrete, soil compaction, and hot mix asphalt (HMA).
  • Maintain documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety measures, estimates, and work orders.
  • Provide regular updates on site activities and project progress to the Project Engineer.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in roadway construction with a solid understanding of VDOT specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations applicable to road and bridge construction sites.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Capability to obtain required certifications within a year.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Experience with project management software and proficiency in MS Office applications.
