About the Role

BlueOval SK is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facility in Kentucky. As a key member of our start-up team, you will play a critical role in launching our facility from the ground up and ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Ensure department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards, review safety metrics, and coordinate improvement activities.
  • Quality: Direct data-driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics, devise and implement strategies to tighten tolerances within specifications for fit, form, and functionality.
  • Delivery: Coordinate resources and activities to ensure problem-free start-ups, facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings, and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Cost: Promote and ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing engineering organization, monitor and control equipment OEE, and optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives.
  • People: Supervise hourly skilled trade employees, communicate and recognize team members, and build a conducive work environment.
  • Maintenance: Lead daily, weekend, and shutdown maintenance planning, integrate maintenance plans into total department business plans, and maximize equipment effectiveness.
  • Environment: Ensure department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 1-2 years supervisory experience of skilled trades/technical support
  • Ability to work any shift in a 7-day pattern
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 3-5 years automotive experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • Safety and Quality experience preferred
