Position Summary:

Fusion Transport is in search of a dynamic Recruitment Specialist with a proven history of successfully hiring exceptional freight brokers. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the 3PL sector and a thorough understanding of the specific demands and qualifications essential for success in freight brokerage. This role necessitates a proactive and strategic approach to talent acquisition, ensuring our freight brokers consistently meet and surpass organizational expectations and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy focused on attracting freight brokers.
  • Leverage industry-specific job boards, recruitment platforms, and professional networks to identify and engage top talent.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates through ongoing networking and relationship cultivation.

Candidate Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Identify candidates through diverse channels, including direct sourcing and referrals.
  • Conduct in-depth screening interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
  • Assess candidates' knowledge of freight brokerage, including regulations, market dynamics, and operational challenges.

Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and departmental leaders to understand specific hiring needs and role requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and candidate status.
  • Advise on market trends and competitive hiring practices to maintain an edge in attracting top talent.

Interview and Selection Process:

  • Coordinate and conduct structured interviews, utilizing behavioral and situational questions to assess candidates' skills and competencies.
  • Evaluate candidates' potential to meet organizational expectations and contribute to achieving business objectives.
  • Facilitate feedback sessions with hiring teams to ensure thorough evaluation and consensus on candidate selection.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze key recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of sourcing and hiring strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire metrics.
  • Continuously enhance recruitment processes based on data-driven insights and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Freight/3PL Logistics and Transportation sectors with a solid understanding of the brokerage industry and business model.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting freight brokers or within the logistics and transportation field.
  • Strong grasp of freight brokerage, including industry regulations, market trends, and operational requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Proficient in utilizing ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other recruitment tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
