Industrial Maintenance Specialist
FULL-TIME

Compensation: $38/hr

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and utilize the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in operational areas.
  • Uphold food quality and safety standards in accordance with established quality benchmarks and Safe Quality Food protocols.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems, aiming for measurable enhancements and system improvements.
  • Execute complex corrective and preventative maintenance tasks, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of mechanical theories and principles.
  • Assess and establish the current state of work order planning and scheduling, considering cost implications related to materials, resources, and time.
  • Acquire proficiency in the CMMS system used at the facility (e.g., SAP-PM) and develop familiarity with system reporting and work order methodologies, identifying gaps for improvement.
  • Foster improved communication and effectiveness in work order management, enhancing completion rates, reducing backlog, and prioritizing work orders with refined methods and procedures.
  • Streamline and efficiently execute all maintenance tasks and work orders, from breakdown to condition-based maintenance, while leading the development of planning and scheduling protocols.
  • Contribute to tangible improvements in scheduled, unscheduled, and breakdown maintenance downtime, aiming to reduce associated costs and support CPC (cost per case) objectives across the facility.
  • Complete all necessary documentation daily, including but not limited to: daily logs, downtime reports, completed work orders, preventive maintenance records, inventory issues, material requisitions, and Maintenance Work Requests (MWRs).
Schedule:

Shift start: 5:00 AM

Shift length: 12.5 hours

Schedule: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Continental / Block Schedule

Qualifications:
Must pass drug screening
Must pass background check
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Minimum age: 18 years
Interprovincial Journeyman License (Canada)
Electrician or Millwright (Dual Ticket – Electrician/Millwright preferred)
5-10 years of experience in production/line machine maintenance with formal electrical training
Experience in line maintenance within a food and beverage production setting is preferred
Extensive technical knowledge in industrial maintenance, including relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
Ability to interpret complex diagrams.
Demonstrated leadership skills combined with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and maintenance practices.
Ability to read and comprehend complex piping diagrams and mechanical schematics.
Objective judgment and fact-based decision-making skills.
Strong multi-tasking abilities.
