Summary:

Role Overview:

Join Apple's innovative wireless silicon development team, where we focus on all facets of wireless silicon creation, particularly emphasizing energy-efficient and low-power designs. Our world-class engineering team integrates expertise across RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC/Power architecture, VLSI/RTL design, Emulation, Design Verification, Testing, Validation, and Power modeling.

In this prominent position, you will play a crucial role within a silicon design group that significantly influences the rapid delivery of functional products to millions of users.

Job Responsibilities:

In this position, you will engage in power modeling, analysis, and correlation tasks for wireless communication SoCs, including:

  • Establishing chip power specifications
  • Creating and generating power vectors with Design Verification support
  • Producing presilicon power estimations
  • Analyzing and identifying opportunities for power reduction
  • Developing power models for essential use cases
  • Conducting postsilicon power correlation
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in presilicon power modeling, analysis, and power reduction. Proficiency in tools such as PTPX, Power Artist, or similar power analysis software is essential.
  • Familiarity with postsilicon power correlation; full chip experience is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Low Power ASIC logic design and UPF; actual design experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ASIC physical design and timing closure; implementation experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, or Python).
  • System architecture knowledge is a bonus.
  • Basic understanding of wireless protocols, such as WiFi and Bluetooth.
  • Familiarity with common SoC components, including CPU, fabric, peripherals, and PCIe.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to participate in discretionary employee stock programs and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
