Job Title: Chassis Technician

We are seeking a skilled Chassis Technician to join our team at Cummins in Chesapeake, VA.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. As a Chassis Technician, you will be responsible for completing repairs on engine products in a service shop, performing maintenance and repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, and maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Complete complex internal engine repairs
  • Perform engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
  • Chassis repairs experience or certification
  • Troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
  • Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
  • Internal engine repairs, after treatment systems repairs
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
Requirements
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
Experience
  • Workshop experience required
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Chassis repairs
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
