Job Summary

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a highly motivated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at the University of Connecticut. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and athletic training services to our student-athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician
  • Participate in the Athletic Training Services program, including coverage of school athletic events and practices
  • Design and implement therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of injured athletes
  • Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques to prevent injuries
  • Maintain effective communication with the sports medicine team to ensure optimal care for our athletes
  • Manage emergency incidents and coordinate acute care procedures as needed

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Applicable state license where required
