The Vice President of Culinary Services will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the dining experience, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing vendors and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for culinary services across the portfolio.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive management to align culinary services with the company's overall mission and objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of nutritionally balanced menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of residents and meet all regulatory standards and guidelines for senior nutrition.
  • Develop and manage budgets for culinary services, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing Culinary Services Directors as well as provide input on performance and coaching as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage inventory to optimize cost efficiency and product availability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Nutrition, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality or senior living industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful culinary programs and initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of senior nutrition and dietary needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance effectively.
  • Proficiency in culinary software and technology.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
  • Ability to effective lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently, communicate progress and execute effectively.
