Job Title: Material Control Supervisor

Join Ford Motor Company, a leading global automaker, as a Material Control Supervisor. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct UAW hourly employees to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Effectively assign initiatives to improve performance and maintain a productive working relationship with the hourly team, salaried team, and union representatives.
  • Assign daily work to employees to meet objectives and assure the flow of inbound and outbound material is managed according to the Partners In Customer Satisfaction (PICS) Process.
  • Assure continuous improvement through direction of the PICS process and the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).
  • Complete daily reports of time for employees and provide inbound and outbound supervisory coverage within the Memphis Complex.
  • Manage to deadlines and timelines with high degrees of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
  • Willing and able to work any shift and overtime, including Saturdays and some Sundays.
  • Accurate application of labor agreements.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • 1+ years of supervisor experience in a distribution center or other management experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College Degree Preferred; Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Operations.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management systems (MOMS, MMP, SAP, EXE, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Container Management System (CMMS) and processes.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to command respect and accountability of assigned employees.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll system.
  • Experience working in a union environment.
