Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our buildings and grounds. This role involves managing facility maintenance and operations, budget management, staff and vendor supervision, space planning, safety and compliance, customer service, and emergency response. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in facilities management, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Maintenance and Operations: Ensure all facilities are well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. Manage and coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and renovations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and controlling costs. Monitor and report on facility-related expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Staff, Vendor and Contractor Management: Supervise and provide direction to contracted and/or internal facilities maintenance staff, as assigned. Select, negotiate with, and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers. Oversee contract performance and ensure service levels meet organizational standards.
  • Space Management: Plan and oversee space utilization, layout, and office configurations to optimize use and accommodate organizational needs at all company locations. Coordinate and manage office relocations and reconfigurations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Oversee facility security access systems and cameras in collaboration with the IT team. Implement and maintain safety protocols, including fire safety, emergency procedures, and security systems.
  • Customer Service: Respond to and resolve facility-related issues and requests from employees, clients, and visitors. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with facilities management software or equivalent CMMS systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
